It’s been a while! We are so happy to invite you back into the office of North Shore Community Resources. We look forward to reconnecting with you.
While there are still some restrictions, we are now facilitating some in-person meetings and are available to chat with you face to face. To ensure we can see you, we ask that you book an appointment ahead of time.
Assistance is available in English and Farsi.
If you plan to come to the NSCR office, we kindly ask that you:
- Wear a mask as we serve people who are at a higher risk of contracting COVID-19.
- Bring your vaccine pass to enter the main office. However, for those who are not vaccinated, we are able to assist you in the larger community room or take down your information to set up a virtual appointment.
Program-Specific Updates
Caregiver program – The men’s group and bereavement groups are now taking place in person at the NSCR community room. Our caregiver support and Persian groups are still using the online format. This may change in the coming months. Phone and in-person support by our coordinator is available, as is our peer-to-peer support program where caregivers can develop a deeper relationship with other caregivers who have lived experience and some training in this area. Our Grapevine newsletter continues bi-monthly via email, and our resource library is now open again.
Better at Home – The program is largely operating as usual, but our doors are now open if you would like to come see us in the office.
Volunteer North Shore – In-person advisory meetings are available. We still encourage you to visit our volunteer database to find a role that suits your skills and interests.
Seniors One Stop – We can help you navigate information on community resources, subsidized housing, financial benefits, and referrals to legal services. If you would like to meet with us in person, please call SOS to set up a time at 604.982.3302.
